Welcome Letter

Welcome to WHAMBAA!

We are delighted to have you visit us online. As Presidents of the Wharton Hispanic-American MBA Association, we are working hard to further the WHAMBAA’s mission of being:

“The Professional and Community Resource of
Hispanic-Americans at Wharton.”

To achieve this mission, we are taking steps to build a Lifelong WHAMBAA Community. In particular, we aim to nurture our community relationships by:

  1. Providing current student members with the professional services needed to pursue their career goals
  2. Encouraging collaborative community participation within WHAMBAA and supporting our member’s leadership throughout Wharton
  3. Increasing the number of qualified Hispanic-Americans in MBA programs
  4. Increasing our level of service and commitment to our alumni

Our club is strong.  We have a brilliant and energetic Executive Board.  Dedicated WHAMBAA graduates have initiated an innovative Alumni Advisory Board.  And thanks to the hard work of our members, Latino admissions at Wharton have reached an all-time high.  We recognize our responsibility of building upon the great success achieved by Whamberos before us and we embrace it with pride.

Our sincere hope is that this website provides you with a sense of our members’ commitment to a community of collaboration, service and excellence.  But the best way to experience WHAMBAA is by reaching out to us.  Whether you’re a Latino/a prospective student looking to learn more about Wharton or a WHAMBAA alum looking to reconnect, we want to hear from you!  We are always looking to develop relationships with our stakeholders and hope that this website provides a jumpstart.
